Creating a new policy

Kubiya has an Role Based Access Control system that let's us define policies and enable or disable certain actions from an individual user or a group.

Create a new policy

  1. 1.
    In the Kubiya management interface, navigate to the "Policies" section:

    Click on Create Policy:
  1. 3.
    Fill the relevant details of the policy:
  • Name: should define what the policy does
  • Description: More detailed explanation on the policy purpose
  1. 4.
    Select the relevant group you want to associate with this policy:
  1. 5.
    Select the relevant action(s) to allow:
  • Runner - the entity which runs the action
  • Action - the action (function) to allow
  1. 6.
    Finally, submit the form for the policy to take effect
