Installing Kubiya app for Slack

Kubiya AI Teammates can be triggered to execute tasks in 3 ways, depending on the task:

• Time-based jobs (cron jobs )

• Events (webhooks)

• On command (via conversation)

For tasks that are triggered on command, you and members of your organization can chat with your AI Teammates straight from Slack.

If you haven't already, the first step is to install the Kubiya Slack app.

After that, you can start asking your teammate to perform tasks for you via Slack.

How it works

The organization Slack OAuth2 token will be passed to the container environment, allowing Slack-based requests to the agent to be able to interact with the Slack API in order to send messages, create channels, etc

The best way to get started with Kubiya is using the direct integration within Slack which ensures a streamlined and enhanced user experience, enabling you and your team to interface with the virtual assistant without requiring platform switching.

Don't worry - after installing the app for Slack you'll still be able to access the management interface.

Installing the App for Slack

Add the Kubiya app to your Slack workspace:

Clicking on the Add to Slack button above will prompt you to approve Kubiya's access to your workspace:

Onboard to the Kubiya Platform

After adding to Slack, you should be redirected to the following page, if you did not yet meet with our sales team regarding the opportunity.

To fully utilize the application, you need to complete its full settings from the operational platform of Kubiya.ai. When adding the application, an onboarding process will start. Please ensure you have finalized the details with our sales team to gain access to the operational platform by contacting us at [e-mail].

After being invited to the platform by our sales team, when adding the application to Slack, you should be redirected to this page, indicating that the onboarding process succeeded:

You should see the newly installed Kubiya app in your Slack workspace - with a message waiting for you to enable your first integrations:

Here are some useful tips on how to get the most out of your Kubiya app for Slack:

• Your go-to command is the /agent command - from there you can pretty much do anything

• If you're looking to converse with the Kubiya app you could either send it a direct message or tag it in a channel where Kubi is a member of

• When trying to management related command (new integrations, inviting users, etc..) you can use the /manage command
