Register & invite collaborators (i.e. other admins)

To do anything, you'll first need a Kubiya account. You might also want to invite other people in your company to be Kubiya Admins and help you configure Kubiya.

In this page, you'll learn:

How to Create a Kubiya Account

  1. Contact Kubiya Sales Team. They will help you get started, including whitelisting you to register.

  2. Download Kubiya Slack app. Click this link [Slack app download button]. Important: If you have multiple Slack Workspaces/Accounts, make sure the correct one is selected in the top-right corner. If you are not Slack admin in your organization, you will need someone who is to download, or to request authorization from your Slack admin.

  3. You will now see a success screen confirming that Kubiya has been installed in your Slack workspace. In parallel, you will receive an email from Kubiya prompting you to accept your invitation. Check your email, click the Accept Invitation button in the email.

  4. Click Continue to Kubiya

  5. Authenticate with Slack. Slack will ask you to choose a profile with which to sign into Kubiya. Important: if you have multiple Slack accounts/workspaces, make sure you select the correct one.

  6. Click Kubiya Web App. On this next screen, you are presented with two options: Chat on Slack or Kubiya Web App. Click Kubiya Web App.

Great, you've now created a Kubiya Account and are in the web app. Next step is to invite other collaborators to be admins.

How to Invite Other Collaborators

In Kubiya, any admin user is able to access the web app and configure Kubiya Teammates and Kubiya Resources. Users who are not admins, will be able to chat with Kubiya via Slack, but will not have access to the Kubiya web app.

Any members of your team with whom you want to collaborate on configuration of Kubiya Teammates must be made an admin. Here's how:

1. Invite them to create a Kubiya account:

  1. In the Kubiya web app, go to the Settings tab in the top-bar menu. Then go to the Users page in the left-side menu.

  2. Click Invite User in the top right corner.

  3. Add the email of the person you want to invite (they must be in your Slack workspace). They will now be listed in the Users page with the status Pending.

  4. Before you can make them an admin, they must accept their invitation to Kubiya. To do this, they should check their email and accept the invitation, similar to how you did. (Note: since you haven't made them an admin yet, they will be brought to Slack at the end of their account creation flow, not to the Kubiya web app).

2. Add them to the admin group

  1. Once they've accepted their invitation, their status in the Users page will have changed to Active. If this is the case, then go to the Groups page in the left-side menu.

  2. Find the group called Admin, click on its action menu (the three dots on the right side of the window), then click Assign Users,

  3. Add the users you want to make admins

Done. Your colleagues have now been made admins in Kubiya and can login to the web app.
